GotGit

A small native git client for macOS.

GotGit covers the git you do every day, and leaves the rest to the command line. It runs the git already installed on your Mac, so it behaves exactly like it.

What it does

• Stage files, hunks or single lines, and commit or amend
• Browse and search history with a branch graph
• Create, check out, merge and delete branches; create tags
• Cherry-pick and revert commits
• Fetch, pull and push
• Save, apply and drop stashes
• Optionally write commit messages from staged changes with AI

From the terminal

Install the gotgit command from Settings → Command Line, then:

gotgit           # opens the repository you are in
gotgit some/path # opens the repository containing that path
